Cry Engine: a new rising star in the Game Dev Hood.

Most of your here must have already known what a game engine, even so I would like to tell what it is :

” A game engine is a software framework or to say nowadays more like an IDE, designed for the creation and development of video games. “

There are lots of famous game engines out there like Unity, Unreal, UDK etc. Cry Engine is one of them. It is considered the most advanced game engine with very less steep learning curve.

CryEngine is a game engine designed by the German game developer Crytek. It has been used in all of their titles with the initial version being used in Far Cry, and continues to be updated to support new consoles and hardware for their games. It has also been used for many third-party games under Crytek’s licensing scheme, including Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 and SNOW. Cloud Imperium Games uses a heavily modified version of the engine for the games Star Citizen and Squadron 42. Warhorse Studios uses a modified version of the engine for medieval RPG Kingdom Come: Deliverance.
